Celebrating 100 Years of Vogue With Kate Middleton
Kate Middleton channeled Indiana Jones for her debut stint as a British Vogue cover girl. While we’re not crazy about her styling, there’s no denying that the Duchess looks every inch the cover star. Vogue‘s centenary issue is due to hit store shelves tomorrow, the 5th of May and we couldn’t be more excited to see what our favourite glossy’s got in store for us.
Channeling IndianaThe Duchess graces the cover of Vogue, 19 years after her late mother in-law, Princess Diana. The cover shoot took place in the Norfolk countryside and was shot by Josh Olins. Two of the photographs taken during the shoot have since been added to the Vogue 100: A Century of Style exhibit at the National Portrait Gallery in London.
Laid-Back RoyaltyThe down to earth star ditched the glitz and glamour, opting instead for a more casual aesthetic. Kate was styled in a brown, double-breasted, suede jacket from Burberry teamed with a tailored white shirt. Her look was polished off with a wide brimmed hat from Beyond Retro, a vintage boutique in London. Her look was more Indiana Jones than Duchess of Cambridge. The pared down shoot features K-Middy in natural makeup. The laid-back royal drove herself to the photoshoot with hair curlers still intact, a definite princess of the people. We can’t wait to nab the centenary issue tomorrow morning!
