Selena Gomez reveals chemotherapy ordeal

While the media speculated that Gomez was battling with an addiction, or trying to get over her ex, Justin Bieber, the star was quietly undergoing chemotherapy for lupus. Speaking with the publication for the first time about her illness, Selena said “I was diagnosed with lupus, and I’ve been through chemotherapy. That’s what my break was really about. I could’ve had a stroke,” Gomez opened up about how the media’s lies had hurt her “I wanted so badly to say, ‘You guys have no idea. I’m in chemotherapy. You’re assholes.’ I locked myself away until I was confident and comfortable again,”.
