City ain’t all that: Buffy Sainte Marie playing in London tonight
Whether you remember Canadian singer song-writer Buffy Sainte Marie from her classics such as “Cod’ine”, “Universal Soldier”, and “Starwalker”, or from her five years on Sesame Street, Buffy’s gig in London tonight at the Brooklyn Bowl at 7pm is not one to be missed. Although Sainte-Marie is pegged as a folk musician, she is much more than that with her music always being ahead of the curve, as is her unique style. Buffy is now touring with her latest album, Power in the Blood, which is the perfect mixture of strong political anthems and dreamy love songs. It is also proof that after five decades of performing, Buffy Sainte-Marie can still inspire contemporary audiences. She is also the muse of top Irish knitwear designer Tim Ryan, and regularly chooses his designs to wear on stage.
