Cutting-Edge Designs from the NCAD Fashion Show

NCAD fashion show a
The annual NCAD fashion show took place last night in the Grafton suite of the Westbury Hotel and it was clear from the night that the future of Irish fashion is in great hands. Fifteen graduating designers showcased their work each showing 6 pieces from their graduate collections. The event was sponsored by Brown Thomas and The Doyle Collection. This year, NCAD were delighted to announce the new Brown Thomas bursary to the value of €4000. The prize was awarded to the talented Daniel Roden whose collection entitled “Green: an exploration of tonality and texture” included the use of silk, feathers, wool, and cashmere around the colour green. Daniel will now have his collection featured in the Irish Designers CREATE at Brown Thomas in July 2015 alongside graduating students Adam Henderson and Jessica Bagnall. Brown Thomas Fashion Director Shelly Corkery stated that she is “very excited to work the NCAD graduates to support emerging Irish Talent”.   The young designers involved in the show are all in their final year of the Fashion Design Course and their collections will also be available for viewing at the  NCAD Graduate Exhibitions in June.
