Beauty DIY: Hair Masks
Looking to restore moisture and tend to your tresses? Have a look below at these chemical free, homemade hair masks! 1. For frizzy hair: Yoghurt, honey & almond oil mask Frizzy hair is the bane of many people’s lives, especially in the Summer! In order to tame the frizz you need to use calming ingredients like yoghurt. Ingredients: ½ cup of yoghurt | ½ cup of honey | 1 tbsp almond oil The combination of these ingredients will fight the frizz! Simply mix the ingredients together and lather into your hair, then wash and condition as usual. 2. For dry hair: Banana & almond oil hair mask If your hair is dry and brittle, this is the mask just for you. The banana will soften your hair and make it strong while the avocado oil will lock in the moisture that your tresses strive! Ingredients: 1 banana | almond oil Mash up the banana and mix with the almond oil. Massage into your hair and let it set for around 30 minutes, then wash and condition as usual! 3. For oily hair: Oatmeal hair mask If your suffer from an oily sensitive scalp that is susceptible to dandruff, this oatmeal hair mask is gentle enough to tackle these problems. The oatmeal will soak any excess oil that our scalp is producing. Ingredients: Oatmeal | Milk | Almond oil Mix together so that your form a paste. Massage gently into dry hair concentrating on the scalp, bringing down to hair ends. Let sit for 20 minutes then rinse. 4. For limp hair that craves volume: Beer mask Yes beer, you heard right! Beer is full of yeast and great for building volume. Ingredients: ½ cup of flat beer | 1 tsp oil | 1 egg Simply mix all of the ingredients together and apply to damp hair. Let it sit for 15 minutes, then rince with cool water. 5. For thin hair: Banana, egg & olive oil mask Just because your hair is thin, doesn’t mean that it doesn’t require some TLC. Eggs are a great ingredient for people with thin hair as they are full of protein that will give your hair strengh and volume! Ingredients: Banana | egg | olive oil Mash the banana, beat the egg and mix altogether with the olive oil. Massage onto dry hair and leave for around 20-30 minutes, then wash out with shampoo and conditioner.
