Having a facial is one of the most luxurious and relaxing ways to pamper yourself! Unfortunately, not all of us have limitless credit cards to enable us to this privilege! So, instead of dipping into your pocket and forking out on weekly facials, we’ve curated some tips to help you get that facial experience from the comfort of your own home. Cleansing is a given in any woman’s (and men’s!) beauty regime. However to truly feel that facial experience, double cleansing is a must. Yes, cleansing removes makeup, dirt and dead skin build up, but double cleansing a second time with ensure NOTHING is missed! Use a rich cleanser like Una Brennan Superfacialist Rose Hydrate Cleanser. Most of us have heard that putting cold water on your face will tighten your pores. However, if dunking your face in freezing cold water is not for you (and we don’t blame you!), then opt for a cool, damp face towel instead. The coolness will help tighten to the pores and smooth the skin. Don’t forget your lips! As the skin on your lips is thinner, lines can be more evident due to dehydration. Ensure to hydrate your lips with an intensive lip balm overnight to make your lips to smooth out lines and make your lips super soft! The cult classic Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream Skin Protectant is an all time fave of ours that we just keep going back to. There are a number of methods that you can use to de-puff your eyes! From cucumber slices to cold tea bags, which are full of antioxidants that will help enliven tired eyes! If you want to keep it simple, pop your eye cream in the fridge! To use, remember, as always to use your ring finger to tap the cream under and around your eyes, not forgetting under the brow bone. We love Origins GinZing Refreshing eye cream to brighten and depuff. Never EVER forget your neck! The neck often gets neglected from beauty regimes but definitely shouldn’t as the like the hands, the neck can give away a person’s age. The skin on the neck is thin making it more susceptible to sun damage. You could use a moisturiser or a dedicated neck and décolleté cream like Clarins Extra-Firming Neck Anti-Wrinkle Rejuvenating Cream, would be even better. Ensure to massage your neck downwards, rather than upwards, as this will get rid of excess fluid! Obviously moisturiser would do, but using a facial oil will aid to the ultimate facial experience! Massaging the oil into your skin is the way to go. All you need to do is start on the centre of your face, gently pushing hands upwards and outwards. Repeat about 5 times to work the muscles. We love Sunday Riley Juno Hydroactive Cellular Face Oil or Kiehls Midnight Recovery Oil.
