Drink. Wear. Listen.
Drink The Moscow Mule Popular in the 1950’s, this cocktail is simple and delicious! Remember, simplicity is sexy, leave the ornate, overly complex cocktails to the mixologists! But if you can’t resist making a mess in the kitchen then make your own ginger ale, infused with cardamon of course. But if you don’t have time to be concocting various mixtures then simply pick up some vodka, ginger ale, fresh thyme and fresh limes. Method 1 part vodka 2/3 ginger ale Sprig of thyme No need to crack out the mixer for this one, simply add vodka (as desired) to a tall glass of ice, additionally, add in ginger ale, top off with a small sprig of thyme and enjoy (irresponsibly) Wear If you want to pay homage to you the 1950’s cocktail, then why not embrace the Rockabilly movement. This postmodern take on a retro look has spawned a huge subculture across the world, in which people attempt to emulate the 1940’s & 1950’s through their fashion statements. You can go as extreme or as subtle as you want. It’s probably best to keep it subtle, you don’t want to look like you’re on your way to a fancy dress party (or maybe you do, and that’s fine). If you want to keep it subtle then maybe just employ some 50’s inspired make up to your look! Listen Continuing on from that 1950’s influence, why not indulge you ears in some #TBT tunes from an era where Eddie Rockets would of have been seen as the height of fine dining, cars didn’t have seatbelts and no one was scared of gluten.
