Fashion fix: “Kode with Karlie”
Karlie Kloss is adding tech guru to her list of accolades as she is now offering 20 summer scholarships with the Flatiron School to teenage girls around America. She took part in the coding course last summer and now wants to play her part in getting women more excited about the male-dominated tech industry. To be considered for the scholarship, girls will be asked to submit a 60 second video outlining why they want to learn how to code. Kloss feels that it’s crucial that women learn how to code as early as possible” and will be hand-picking the applicants herself. By the end of the course, students will be able to create an app and understand concepts in back-end software engineering. If you can pose as a 13-18 teenage American girl, then you could be a shoe in!
