Givenchy offering free tickets to general public this #NYFW
For the first time ever in the history of New York Fashion Week, French fashion house Givenchy are actually offering the general public a chance to attend their show. However, if you were hankering to go, you may very well have missed your opportunity at this stage. With the help of The City of New York, they offered up 1,200 tickets altogether to members of the public, distributing them online earlier today. The tickets were available on a first come, first serve basis. Givenchy made them available at 10am this morning on givenchyNYFW15.com. 280 of those tickets have also been allocated to fashion students and staff at FIT, Parsons, Pratt Institute, and High School for Fashion Industries. The ones lucky enough to have nabbed the tickets will be able to pick them up a few days before the event. Although the venue for the Givenchy show hasn’t been announced as of yet, Riccardo Tisci’s NYFW showcase will coincide with the opening of the fashion house’s flagship store on Madison Avenue. Excitement is building around the Givenchy at NYFW already as it could very well change the face of future fashion weeks.
