Roundup of the best beauty products from 2015
2015 is quickly coming to an end and where did the year go?! With 2016 swiftly on the horizon, we decided to reminisce about the beauty products from 2015 that really made an impact. 2015 was the year of the gadgets and one off, limited edition, sought after beauty products that we just couldn’t get our hands on. There was however a healthy dose of beauty products that us mere mortals could clutch with ease. Scroll below for a roundup of the best beauty products from 2015. #1. Pat Mc Grath – Gold 001
When renowned makeup artist Pat McGrath launched her product ‘Gold 001’, the world waited with bated breath to see just how good this product was. And, they certainly weren’t disappointed. McGrath’s gold pigment was showcased and used on many a runway, including the Prada SS ’16 show in Milan. The only downside of this product for us, was the fact that only 1000 were made, which meant that the hyped up product sold out in a matter of minutes. #2. Pat Mc Grath – Phantom 002
With the success of Gold 001, Pat McGrath launched a second product ‘Phantom 002’, where only 1000 pieces were made, again. This incredible pigment which like Gold 001, can be used on the eyes and lips sadly sold out in a number of minutes also. Please, Pat, make more than a 1000 pieces! #3. Forea LUNA Mini Beauty lovers, love a good beauty gadget. The Clarisonic cleansing brush has been knocking around for a few years, so it was time for something new. Enter, the Forea LUNA mini. This nifty little palm-sized device is mega. The face cleansing device promises a deep yet extremely gently clean. Check out the byrdie review above of the Forea LUNA mini. #4. Kylie Jenner’s Lip Kit With the most popular Kardashian/Jenner (well, in 2015 anyway), it was only expected that her lip kit would sell out immediately. Kylie’s lips have literally been the talk of 2015 and her released product line promises to help you achieve her pout. It only seemed natural that she would release lip products that give a nod to the 90s revival, which we saw so prominently this year. #5. Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation Charlotte Tilbury, the beauty brand mastermind and makeup artist to the stars, that most of us never really knew about until she launched her makeup line. Tilbury’s impressive makeup range offers a multitude of must have products but her Magic Foundation gives you an all round glow, which is what most of us in 2015 have been talking about. #6. Cover FX Custom Cover Drops This revolutionary product created by makeup giant Cover FX was definitely hot topic of conversation on beauty lovers’ lips. This innovative product allows you to customise your own makeup. It’s concentrated pigmented formula allows you to create your own bespoke foundation. You can add drops to foundations, concealers, moisturisers, serums, gels, sun screen etc. A drop or two will help you adjust the colour of your foundation and concealer. #7. Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer Hands down one of the best high street concealers of 2015. Maybelline Eraser Eye is moisturising under the dehydrated under eye area, so perfect for younger skin to more mature skin. It gives great coverage all the while keeping your the skin under your peepers fresh and dewy. #8. Micellar Cleansing Water Although micellar water has gained notorious popularity over the last few years, it was in 2015 that it reached it’s peak. We’re avid fans due to the deep cleanse and convenience micellar water brings you. No more messing around with cleansing creams and water, just a bottle of micellar water and cotton pads will do, thanks. #9. Urban Decay Naked Smoky Urban Decay’s Naked palettes have a cult following from beauty lovers worldwide. With 12 gorgeous shades to choose from, your bound to use each at least once. From mattes to shimmers, there’s something for everyone and 2015 saw the launch of their most recent palette, Naked Smoky, which was inevitably a huge hit!
