Summer Face Care

Summer Face Care
Sun damage from UV rays is one of the leading causes of skin cancer. People know about the risks of the sun and it’s harmful rays, yet so many don’t take proper care of their skin. It is so important to protect, protect, protect! In fact, you should wear SPF everyday, whether the sun is high in the sky, or not! Finding sunscreen for your body is usually easy and can be applied liberally, however, finding suitable sunscreen for the face is a completely different story! Have a look below at some amazing face products that will keep your precious skin protected.  Sun screen Face Apart from sun screen protecting your skin against harmful rays, it also protects against wrinkles. A lot of people don’t like wearing sunscreen due to it’s stereotypical oily and unpleasantly fragrant attributes. However, there are products on the market that go against this stereotype like Kiehl’s Activated Sun Protector Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 50. Although this is a body sunscreen, this is oil and paraben-free and contains anti-aging properties such as goji berry and Vitamin E, to soften the skin. Another face sunscreen favourite is Clinique Super City Block SPF 40 / SPF 25 which is great to wear under makeup as it’s non greasy and ensures your makeup stays put all day.      Eyes  It’s so important to apply sunscreen around your eyes as the skin is 10 times thinner here than the rest of your skin! You can use the same sunscreen you’re using on your face however, eye-specific SPF is better for proper protection as it’s made specifically for the thin skin in that area. Also, it won’t irritate the sensitive skin around your eyes or sting like normal sunscreen can if it gets into your eyes! A great sunscreen for around your eyes is Clinique Sun Broad Spectrum SPF 45 Sunscreen Targeted Protection Stick. This fab multi functional product can also be used on the lips! Also, make sure that you wear sunglasses!! Your eyes can be damaged by UV rays too, so make sure that your sunglasses give UV protection.     Lips Ah the lips, another area that is highly susceptible to sun damage! There’s nothing worse than stingy, sunburnt chapped lips. Clinique eye/lip duo mentioned above is perfect to fend of those harmful rays, but there are also a variety of cheaper lip balms on the market that have SPF in them too, such as Nivea Lip Care Protect SPF 30.
