The best skincare routine for your 40’s and 50’s

Our skin inevitably changes constantly and because of that we need to tailor our routines to suit our skin. In your 40’s and 50’s, moisturising and keeping the skin hydrated is key to maintaining healthy skin.

Your skincare regimen in your 40’s should be all about adding moisture to your skin and also, using products with collagen-building ingredients like peptides. The lines between your brows and around our eyes and mouth are unfortunately more visible in your 40’s than your 30’s.

Your 50’s is all about moisturising. Adding a surge of moisture to the skin should be your main priority. Some of the biggest issues you will encounter is sagging skin. Use creams and serums that contain peptides, retinoids or alpha hydroxy or amino acids.

Step 1: Use a hydrating cream cleanser like, Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference Gentle Hydrating Cleanser. This will ensure to hydrate the skin as you cleanse.
